Need new scope.
I wouldn't buy anything now that's not Side focus, it makes the scope bulkier, but it's worth it 👍

Need new scope.
There are loads of choices these days, most of my scopes ,actually all my scopes have been bought second hand over the last 5 or 6 six years. I'd say the most important things to look at are size, weight and the ret, some rets these days are really fine or cluttered, so they may not suit you. I was really shocked by the size and weight of my Optisan, I took a Simmons 3.5x10x50 off and the Optisan 4x16x44 was easily twice thelength and weight, but I find it a great scope, that I mostly shoot off sticks anyway. I've got a Veryon sat waiting to go on my Goldstar, but I've not touched it yet, really dinky, but still a 30mm tube. Lots of folk like Hawke, I'm sure @Ultrastu uses them, some say the glass isn't great, but others swear by them so ideally you need to look through a few to see what you think

So much sport to watch!
Oh that's funny, I want to watch the Lions game Saturday, it's in Australia, that's a country that's far far away 😅😅 I might watch Saints v Leigh tonight, only I'm in Cumbria, if only there was some way to do it 😅😅😅 Never mind trying to get tickets for four of us to watch England at Twickenham... The rest of the population can choose to watch whatever they like, but thanks for joining in 🤭🤭

Which sports would they be then?? I bought a sky sports pass for a month to watch the Leigh v Wigan game, and the Lions, there's been some great games on, I'm probably watching 4 or 5 games a week so it was well worth it in my eyes. As for the Lycra, I can't think of a sport where you'll get those views and crowds, the atmosphere must be something special. I'll get a bit on my off days, I'll usually have it on and keep having a quick look 😁 Cheers I'll take a look then 👍

Interesting comment the other day from Jonas I think it was saying its good to not be in Yellow every day because of all the extra work involved afterwards, but it was good seeing how Ben got the Yellow, fantastic attacking ride, then the wait for the time difference. Good to see the respect show with yesterday's late crash, I doubt there are many sports where your competitors would wait for you, he'd probably have caught up anyway, but it's still great to see the Sportsmanship. Highlights at 8pm 😁 I've seen it advertised but not even thought about it, no doubt its on at silly o'clock on PPV?

Where to begin? The Lions team is out for Saturdays test and the groups have gone into melt down, yes the team was leaked, but the leak was right, so many not starting who people thought would be sure starts, but come Saturday we'll see how they go. There's been some fantastic Rugby league games just recently, but for most South of the M62 you won't even know its been going on 🤭 There's been England, Wales etc on tour but just not time 😅 Le TDF is hotting up nicely, for me it's the mountain stages that really start to separate the riders, there's been some great finishes this week, but did you see yesterday's finish? Someone jumped the barrier yesterday just as the front two were sprinting for the line, with the third placed rider bearing down on them, the security didn't miss, he moved up and corralled them towards the barrier then knocked them clean back over it, no messing around or being nice about it, just boom!! There's been Cricket and football on as well apparently 🤷🏻♂️ Just not enough time to sit and watch at the weekend 😅😅

ECHR...Hmmm!
Of course it does, but he'll have been led on by someone, encouraged, he'll have listened to someone spouting rubbish, should it have been allowed, should people be allowed to come here then use freedom of speech to preach against our country, I'd say no, they shouldn't. Censor, silence, potato potatoes, you knew what I meant, I'm not trying to make emotion illegal, we all have emotions, we all feel things, that's very different to spouting rubbish on social media these days hoping others will act on it. It's definitely the soft targets that the authorities are going after, but as Scully said, she pleaded guilty 🤷🏻♂️

ECHR...Hmmm!
So we should allow what amounts to the racist nutters to preach what they like, hoping to incite unrest? What if the scum who stabbed those little girls in Southport was found to have been watching hours and hours of hateful incitement on YouTube and thought he was doing his gods work?? Not sure I'd even heard of this woman till I read this thread, I'd like to agree with free speech, but if your making threats to burn down hotels (or suggesting that they should be burned down) then like Scully says that's too far, and if we want to silence one lot of hatred, then we have to silence all.

ECHR...Hmmm!
Freedom of speech is one thing, saying all the hotels need burning down is quite another.

Water Shortage Is Becoming Serious In The Farming Industry .
I saw a post on FB a few weeks back about a Maize maize up in Cumbria, the guy who runs it said he's never seen the Maize as tall so early, we've had good long dry spells this year, but plenty of rain as well, been a glorious weekend with rain forecast all day today

Seagulls
There was something on telly a few years back showing them in Birmingham on all the flat roofs, thousands and thousands of them. Last year in work we had a chicken come walking down the machine shop, it was so funny watching people panic, I just walked up with a box, scooped it up and took it back outside, the feral pigeons are a bigger problem at the moment fouling everywhere.
