Posted June 13, 20241 yr comment_4124443 Does any one know if the Browning XS Pro safety catch conversion can be converted to auto sage like the rest of the 525/725 range? TIA
June 13, 20241 yr Community Expert comment_4124475 I have a 725 Black, which replaced my ProSport. That had an auto safe, which I had removed. The 525 XS Pro I would think, is an easier job which you could do yourself. But yes it can be done.

June 14, 20241 yr Community Expert comment_4124648 It was solely an age/weight thing..... My age, it's weight ! I loved the gun and shot it reasonably well, in fact when I switched to an S3 (it was over 1/2 lighter), I put the Prosport stock on it. I then had the opportunity to buy a virtually unused Classic Doubles Trap/Combo. That weighs 8lbs and I am shooting that reasonably well. I weighed the Prosport in for a 525 SL, a 21st present for my Grandson. My younger Grandson uses the 725. Edited June 14, 20241 yr by Westley

Possibly thinking of changing it for a Invictus ascent, just for a change really.

However at 79 and a knackered shoulder, the 9lbs became a bit of an issue. On a 100 bird shoot, I dropped more targets off the last 4 or 5 stands than I dropped, off the rest of the layout.

Yes, does sound that it was getting a bit heavy for you.
