Posted June 23, 20241 yr comment_4126596 Hi gang. My pal bought a Perazzi skeet gun in 1981 and has put thousands and thousands of cartridges through it. He has also shot Olympic skeet for England on several occasions. Well today a firing pin snapped. I told him it was shoddy workmanship and he should take it back and complain ?. What do you chaps think ?.
June 23, 20241 yr Community Expert comment_4126599 43 years of hard use before this, what an advert for the make.

June 26, 20241 yr comment_4127131 I have a Beretta 686s sporter that was one of the first in Uk 1984 and I had problem for the first time last year. Pin went so had an overhaul and tighten and is as good as new. Had thousands of shot through it over the year so did not claim under warranty Edited June 26, 20241 yr by Stimo22

June 30, 20241 yr Community Expert comment_4127976 Perazzi obviously don't make them like they used to, my 1997 broke it's first leaf spring in 2022.
June 30, 20241 yr Community Expert comment_4127982 1981 was about the time I first saw Perazzi guns. I believe they were possibly the first to manufacture multi choke shotguns! Over 40 years of trouble free use is something rare,my Beretta 687mc is 35 now with no faults yet.

I should have thought about that when the top lever spring on my 1880s Purdey bar in wood hammer gun broke! Might have got a new gun ?

A mate of mine bought a Barbour Solway at a Game Fair one July, used it hard coastal ‘fowling for the season and in March sent it to Barbour for reproofing. They declined the job as they considered the coat to be too bad for economical repair!
