August 5, 2024Aug 5 comment_4137871 We just use normal radios Goody with rechargeable batteries - also this year used the solar lights they use on cones by skips etc to distract the owl Cant say its defo worked but loses have been lower

I hang mine under the covered ways - and move them about so that raptors / mustelids and indeed foxes dont get used to them Also park one of the shoot "scrappers" by the pen and move that every other day
August 19, 2024Aug 19 comment_4141606 we have got through dozens of batteries up to now and yesterday a goss was no farther than 5 meters from the radios with a kill myself think they are a waste of time in the pens in day lite might be different at night for the Tawny owls
