Been told yesterday of couple lads shooting woodies on stubble

anyway rural crime offices turned up n said if they didn’t leave they were going to charge them n they’d get a fine saying as woodies weren’t causing damage they couldn’t be shot

don’t sound right to me

Not surprised doubt they know the general license anyway.

Definitely needs reporting to basc if there members.

If not phone police and complain they were doing nothing wrong.

This is going to happen more and more as time wear on , even a lot of the people who shoot Pigeons are not always clear of the G L ruling and the police are no different , they get a call from the public to say they shouldn't be shooting Pigeons on stubbles or non crop fields and some of them are not clear on the rules so they attend and then have a word with those involved .

We don't know all the facts from the above instance and it could have been a noise complaint or another reason why they turned up , every so often the G L is revised and who knows what the next revision will be ?    MM
