Has anyone here had a dragonfly or just decide to fail on you mid shooting. I was out rabbiting last night, first three shots fine and dropped. Then did the usual and polite rabbit into tray in truck. Go back to rifle to carry on and no IR.. completely black screen on the pard. Turned on the built in it and let there be light.

Swapped out the battery on the IR but still nothing. But could make out the red light in it.

Am I looking at replacing the pill or could it be something simpler??

Cheers

Hello, It may be the Switch ??, Ian at I/R light builds may help , What battery are you using? or try the night vision store but Clive is not good on replying mail or phone

The torch turns on, just very poor illumination, is fine at 10 yard but further out it's useless. So either switch or the pil itself has gone

I only used led type I/R although I do have a Laser I/R torch but not as good on the Dragon Fly, Although I can get more distance from my I/R torches by fixing a 37mm magnification lens to the front of torch

Email sent. If I could figure out how to disassemble the unit I could replace the ir, but not found anything online showing how to do it but can see you can buy replacement laser pils

OK, Clive has new pils, See what Ian says on reply before your thinking new pil, I presume you checked battery as sometimes it is a poor connection, Keep us posted ??, cheers

Have used three separate batteries, and know there were all fully charged and have used them on this torch since day one

Ian has kindly declined to help ? I totally understand that he makes his own. So I have asked if he could explain how to break the torch down so I can do the repair myself.

Hello, Ok, let us know how you get on as a lot of people use these dragon torches

Hello, I have never had a pil go like that in all my 18650 battery torches, New pil and would suggest battery to, keep us posted

Pill ordered. And I have about 8 batteries, branded wicked lights ones and hik ones from my thermals. The pil feels like it's physically broken inside the housing. It wobbles....

One thing to note is that the dragon fly are all built differently. Clive was great and gave me some how too guides, but then had to add to it from looking at images I sent him.

Pil and new on off button arrived today and it's just taken me less than 10 minutes to reassemble the unit.

Tested in back garden and it's spot on.
