Never forget that:good:

However, I did once pack the wrong cartridges for the gun. I took a 20 bore and picked up a cartridge bag with 16 bore cartridges in.:hmm:

I have now overcome this school boy error by marking each cartridge bag with tape on the strap i.e yellow for 20 bore, blue for 16 bore. No red tape necessary.

Another ‘fault pas’ occurred a couple of years ago when I quickly grabbed out of the freezer what I thought was a bag of two breasted pigeons for the whirly the night before going shooting to thaw out, only to find when I got to the field two dressed and ready to cook pheasants:w00t:

It’s an age thing???

Classic !!! ??

If we started a thread with this age thing about leaving things at home or taking the wrong gear then I would not only miss this Sundays remembrance service I would miss next years as well , as a starter , I went to the game dealers many , many years ago to take a load of frozen Pigeons , my boot was full up so my dog at that time was sitting on the back seat , I unloaded these Pigeons and went in the office to get my money , I always used to have a yarn with the women like you do as I am the friendly type  , anyhow , after I while I had to go and I shut the boot on my motor and went several miles down these little country roads to where I was going shooting , I opened the back door to let my dog out and yes you have guessed right there was no dog , so back I go again to see if he was walking around the dealers at Reedham , pulled into the yard and there was no sign of him , panic stations started to kick in and I went back in the office to see if anyone had seen him and low and behold there he sat being pampered by these young ladies , next time I went there I made sure the dog was secure and I would go missing to see if I would get the same treatment from the opposite sex, alas I didn't:drinks:
